Nectr Energy vs Focus+ vs Zero: Which Should You Choose?

Choose Nectr Energy for a 50 mg caffeine pouch, Focus+ for 50 mg caffeine with additional listed ingredients, or Zero for a pouch without caffeine or nicotine. Energy and Focus+ contain the same amount of caffeine per pouch. The difference is the rest of the formula, not a stronger caffeine dose.

Product information checked October 11, 2026. This guide is published by Nectr and compares our current products.

Start with whether you want caffeine

If avoiding caffeine is the deciding factor, start with Zero. A product called “Focus” is not automatically caffeine-free: Nectr Focus+ contains 50 mg per pouch. Check the formula name on the can instead of choosing only by flavor or the color of the packaging.

If you already drink coffee, tea or energy drinks, include those when considering a caffeinated pouch. Switching from Energy to Focus+ does not reduce the caffeine amount. A pouch is a different format for consuming caffeine, not a way to make caffeine stop counting.

What is in Nectr Focus+?

The current Fresh Mint Focus+ product information lists the following amounts per pouch:

  • Caffeine: 50 mg
  • L-theanine: 100 mg
  • Alpha-GPC: 85 mg
  • L-tyrosine: 85 mg
  • Huperzine A: 30 mcg
  • Vitamin B6: 2 mg
  • Vitamin B12, as methylcobalamin: 2 mcg

Micrograms (mcg) and milligrams (mg) are different units. These are listed ingredient amounts, not a claim that every ingredient is absorbed or that a pouch produces a proven improvement in concentration. More ingredients do not automatically make one formula a better fit for you.

Older Nectr articles described the retired Focus formula with 30 mg caffeine and Cognizin/citicoline. That is not the current Focus+ formula. If you have an older can, follow its own label; use the current product page when shopping for a new order.

Choose a flavor and pack without confusing the price

Compare the same pack size before comparing prices. A single can, a four-can Energy pack and a five-can Focus+ pack are different quantities. Divide the displayed price by the number of cans to compare cost per can; divide again by the labeled pouch count if you want cost per pouch.

On October 11, the one-time Fresh Mint listings showed $32.99 for a four-can Energy pack, $39.99 for a five-can Focus+ pack and $29.99 for a four-can Zero pack. Those work out to approximately $8.25, $8.00 and $7.50 per can, respectively, before shipping, tax or discounts. These examples compare pack economics, not equal formulas or an identical number of pouches.
